Le groupe est né en 2009, de la rencontre de musiciens de talents, tous issus de culture et d’univers musicaux différents. JUDDU COMBO développe une musique de fusion, unique et savoureuse, qui touche par son énergie toute africaine, ses influences empruntées au jazz, à la musique latine ainsi qu"au blues. Ce métissage musical nourrit des mélodies sensibles et rythmées portées par des textes humanistes aux thèmes universels.
songwriter, guitarist and vocalist, she begins to learn music at 7 years old. After some years at the music school, quickly she discovers brazilan and jazz music. She sings dating several belgian and french jazz bands. She develops differents musicals projects around jazz and latin music : the LP "Poisson lune" with her first band So Ouate (label Harmonia Mundi - 2002 ) and "Aujourd'hui dimanche" under her name VAL' (project developed with Andry Ravaloson) in 2007 (Indie). Now she writes the songs of Juddu Combo.
Clémence has an interesting experience of the stage. She starts to play alone with her guitar during a cople of years singing french songs and more specially, covers of the the very popular french songwriter Georges Brassens. But when she discovers the gipsy music just after her participation as vocalist to a Balkanic-Klemzer brass band La Balkanaise, she decides to learn accordion to play her songs and create the Panienki project. This project opened the opportunity for Clemence to work the harmonizing voices and to cross the road of Juddu Combo.
He begins to learn music at 9/10 years old. He plays guitars for weddings and dancing parties at Madagascar until he was 17. When he arrives in France, he learns jazz and improvised musics. He is graduated from the CIM Paris (Ecole de Jazz et des musiques improvisées) in 1984. After his graduation he played music with many artists like Stéphane Belmondo, Clarke Terry, Dave Liebman, Riccardo Dal Fra,... He meets Valérie Guirao en 2002 and he produces with her the LP "Aujourd'hui dimanche" in 2007. Now he brings his talent and eclectic guitar playing to Juddu Combo.
Maël is a very talended saxophonist. He starts to learn saxophone when he was 7 years old. His teachers were Fabrice Martinez and Mederic Collignon at the Music school of Charleviile-Mezières. Few years later, he follows his classical studies of saxophone at the Music Shool of Reims.But quickly, he prefers to develop his technical for the improvised musics like jazz . Therefore, he goes to Paris to learn at the ARPEJ (Ecole du Jazz des musiques afro-américianes ) and after, at Jazz à Tours where he follows the class of Michel Goldberg. Maël is also graduated : he obtains the D.E.M. at the CRR of Lille. At this moment, Maël has more than 500 live perfomances on stage ; He is member of various bands in France .Now, his sensitive and explosive style brings non such colors to the music of Juddu Combo.
